Questions families ask

How do a camp, an academy and a trial differ?

A camp is usually a short training experience; an academy offers a more sustained development setting; a trial assesses suitability for a particular opportunity. Names vary between providers, so ask what is included and who makes any selection decision.

What age is suitable for Spain football development?

There is no single age rule for all Spanish programmes. Spain Soccer Academy's 2026/27 annual listing, for example, specifies ages 14–21; other providers and formats set their own limits.

TFS view: Age alone does not establish football, residential or educational readiness.

Who should consider a high-performance programme?

Consider it when regular training and match evidence suggest the player can benefit from a higher workload. Review recovery, coaching quality, language support and the daily schedule before committing.

Does attending a camp guarantee a professional club trial?

No. A training place does not establish an invitation to a professional club or academy selection. Ask for the exact assessment arrangement in writing; TFS does not promise a trial, contract or selection outcome.

When does a longer academy programme make sense?

After shorter experience and coach feedback support the next step, and the family has checked education continuity, accommodation, safeguarding, language and cost. The longer stay should address a specific development need, with a review point agreed in advance.

Identify what the next training block should achieve.

A player-specific recommendation needs a human review of the player's information. Schools, providers and governing bodies make their own admission, eligibility, selection and funding decisions.
